eBay India Launches Daily Section To Offer International Food Products
Ebay India has launched a daily products section that includes food products such as beverages, snacks & nuts, among others. The section has a dedicated sub-domain “daily.ebay.in”. The website also features a deals section where it offers products with discounts. We observed that the Seller’s ID appears only on the check-out page and not on the product listing, making it appear as if eBay is selling these products directly, when it’s actually an importer who is selling them.
Users can log-in to the portal with their eBay login ID or register on eBay using their email address. The website includes products from categories such as beverages, snacks & nuts, breakfast, biscuits & cookies, canned & bottled food, sauces & dressings. The website also features a deals section where it offers products with discounts.
The website features an omnipresent search bar that scrolls down with the page. The search bar also provides suggestions once you start typing a query. The website has tied-up with Blue Dart for shipping products. Every product has a flat shipping rate of Rs 50 for a single order. The website offers flat shipping rate of Rs 145 when the user orders 3 or more items. eBay claims that all the items dispatched are assured for best for use at least before 3 months from the time of dispatch. For shipping, eBay has partnered with Blue Dart, so users will have to check whether Blue Dart provides shipping at their PIN code. eBay does not accept returns on these products, however, they are covered under the eBay Guarantee policy, where eBay assures a resolution of an issue within 20 days.
Users can pay using Ebay’s Paisa Pay that pays the seller their money after they’ve received their order. ICICI, HDFC, and Citi Bank credit card users can also opt for EMI options. Users can also share the product page with their friends on Facebook.
eBay daily uses the same checkout page as of the ebay website. However, the checkout is not an integrated one – let’s say you have already added items to your cart from ebay.in and at ebay daily and checkout; the checkout page won’t include both the items from ebay.in and ebay daily. You’ll have to pay separately for both products.
