Facebook the most popular social networking site made a update in its app it has launched the new Camera app(currently for iPhone users) that will help the users to share photos on Facebook faster than ever, and see all your friends’ latest shots in one place.

Facebook has launched 4.9 MB Facebook Camera 1.0 for iOS, a photos application. You can shoot, filter, and share single or sets of photos and scroll through photos on Facebook. It allows you to pick one or more photos, apply filters, tag friends and locations, add a description, and post.

The first  screen of the app asks you to login to Facebook . If you have already installed facebook camera app, it picks up the ID of the user logged in than post confirmation.

Facebook’s Camera app is much similar to Instagram. Both apps essentially take pictures, apply photo filters and share them to the world. Excepting  Camera share photo and kept them within Facebook while Instagram’s photos are viewed by followers, and can be shared via Twitter, Facebook and email.

In some term its distinct to Instagram, Camera allows multiple pictures to be uploaded and viewed.It is more social than Instagram. It provides giving users the additional option to tag friends and add geographical location on top of likes and comments.

Now that both Instagram and Camera are under the same family,  now the time to see which one will continue to exist. Camera is being kept within the Facebook community currently, while Instagram’s photos are viewed by followers, and can be shared via Twitter, Facebook and email. However, like Instagram photos on Facebook, Camera photos will also appear on Timeline at full-width and fast.

It is going to be rolled out fully over the next few weeks in the languages FB supports. The Itunes/Iphone App Store has already ‘stocked’ FBC to be downloaded for free on your Apple device.
