Facebook has recently announced that a series of developer events between August and September, it will be called Facebook Developer World Hack 2012. The good news is that this event is especially for developers will be hitting in India on September 17, 2012 in Bangalore.
The event is open for everyone who can code from the country, every day before the face-off there will be technical sessions on developing for Facebook and Android, iOS and Open Graph. Facebook will have its own engineers who will demo samples to help developers get started on the hack. The competition will last for a total of eight hours.
The best teams from each continent will get a chance to visit the Facebook campus in San Francisco. The Facebook Developer World Hack 2012 beings in Austin, USA on August 23 and ends in Moscow, Russia on Oct 1, 2012.
The World HACK events are each one-day long, and will take place in 12 cities on the following dates:

- Mexico City, Mexico – August 27
- Buenos Aires, Argentina – August 29
- São Paulo, Brazil – August 31
- Berlin, Germany – September 11
- Taipei, Taiwan – September 11
- Jakarta, Indonesia – September 13
- Bangalore, India – September 17
- Barcelona, Spain – September 18
- Vancouver, Canada – September 20
- Warsaw, Poland — September 28
- Moscow, Russia – October 1
The events are open to coders of all kinds, whether you’ve developed with Facebook before, have an existing app that you’d like to distribute on Facebook, or simply have a great idea for a social app that you hope to bring to life.
Each day begins with a series of technical sessions designed to get you working with Facebook as quick as possible. We’ll discuss Open Graph, iOS, Android, mobile web, and how to build successful social games.
And we know you’re there to code. We’ll quickly dive into demos and samples to give you everything you need to get started on the HACK itself: an eight hour competition where you get to demonstrate your newfound skills, with hands-on help from Facebook engineers. We finish with team demos and awards for the best apps and projects worked on throughout the day.
This year, to recognize that talented developer communities we meet around the globe, the best team we see on each continent will also win a trip to San Francisco, to visit our campus and meet the Facebook team.
These events always sell out quickly, so make sure to register your interest for the World HACK in your city as soon as you can. There is a nominal fee for attendance.
