India celebrates 81th Air Force Day
The Mighty Indian Air Force is celebrating its 81th anniversary. The defense unit is all geared up to showcase its muscle with the newly inducted giant carrier C-17 Globemaster in the front line. Globemaster is all set to make its maiden appearance in the ceremony at the Hindan air force station, for which rehearsal have began today, an official statement said.
The flag bearing sky divers of Akash Ganga team will commence air display dropping out of AN-32 aircraft.
The aerobatic display team, Sarang, of the Indian Air Force will perform at the Air Force Day parade. The Dhruv Helicoptor flying team will be performing its aerobatic skills on the anniversary show- told Air Commodore Umesh Kumar, Air Officer Commanding (AOC), 43 Wing AF, Sulur.
Three Jaguar aircraft will lead flypast followed by Baaz (MiG-29), Bison (MiG-21), Mirage (Mirage 2000) aircraft and Su-30 MKI (Sukhoi) aircraft.
3 C-130J Hercules aircraft and 2 AN-32 aircraft will be other major center of attraction followed by An-32 aircraft on both side. 2 Avro and 2 Dornier aircraft will be flying past.

IAF is planning to upgrade its Air strength near Chinese border. It is readying to develop a fighter aircraft base at Nyoma in Ladakh and is upgrading seven airfields for carrying out 24X7 operations in the northeast.
The Indian Air Force had created a record recently by landing its C-130J Special Operations aircraft at the Daulat Beg Oldie ALG, where Chinese troops had infiltrated and pitched the tents for 21 days,which is situated at an altitude of over 16,000 feet and is close to Depsang Valley.
