Kitchen18.com – India’s first dedicated online solution for Home & Kitchen Needs it’s true or fake?

The e-commerce platform has expanded its horizon by including a new entity in its belly: Kitchen Appliances. It now seems possible to set up a new house just by making a few clicks online. There was a small gap in the Kitchen Equipment segment in India, and Kitchen18.com is trying to complete that gap. It is an exclusive kitchen appliances’ e-commerce portal and will feature products like non-stick cookwares, pans, toasters, cookers,ovens and etc.

Abhishek Daaga Founder of Kitchen 18.com Says “I was a vendor of Kitchen & Home appliances and used to supply to various e-commerce companies. I had a dream to start an e-commerce venture from long time, which is taking shape now. I was one of the first eBayers in India, selling mobile accessories on Baazee & Ebay and since then I had a vision to start a multi-category e-commerce portal that can cater everything,”.

Abhishek was complete his graduation grom Mysore and he joined a Kitchen Appliances manufacturing unit. There Abhishek took care of marketing products through distributors channel across India. After leaving that company, he started trading in Kitchen appliances category. While working for clients from some e-commerce portals, the idea of starting his own e-commerce firm entered his mind. Currently, he takes care of everything on the portal. Hiring is on his mind and he hopes to build a dedicated and hardworking team soon. For now, he has his wife as a great source of inspiration and support.

Abhishek is plan next protal is Recipe Portal, as an additional service and promotional activity, where they can interact & attract more traction. Abhishek also Plans to start a Cooking Magazine. There is also an opportunity to start Kitchen Appliances multi-branded stores all across India. “We are coming up with private label products as well, to start with we have started with Kitchen18 Pressure Cookers in 5 sizes, later we have plans to launch a product each month, to build all product in this niche in our own private brand, I am having good contacts with the manufacturers/job-workers of Kitchen appliances who supply to all leading brands, so regarding the quality we are very assured we can give the best in its class,” says Abhishek.

Kitchen18 is facing difficulty while delivering the goods. Primarily the cost of delivering a kitchen appliance is very much, as the goods are very bulky & tend to get damaged if not packed or handled properly in the transit.

Abhishek has bootstrapped for Kitchen18.com but is open to investments to take his appliances to each and every kitchen in India! He is currently utilizing both, online and offline channels for marketing. He is working on the Mobile friendly version of Kitchen18.com.
