Mumbai survives TnT to enter final
Mumbai Indians has scared away T&T by 6 wickets to enter into final of champions league once again. It was a remarkable inning for both the Mumbai Indians Team and Sachin Tendulkar.
Jerking off his slowing down performance, Sachin knocked 31-ball 35 studded with two sixes. Sachin completed his fifty-thousandth run in all cricket. He was just 26 runs short of this magic number.
MI’s opening partner Sachin and Devon Smith, whose 38-ball 59 fuelled Mumbai to 90 without any loss till the 11th over. Here at this point it looked to be all over but Sunil Narine once again bowled to perfection and propelled T&T back into the match with a brilliant spell of 4-0-17-3.
In one over Sunil scalped top three batsmen of MI turning the match towards T&T.
However it was too late to recover. Rohit Sharma (25) and Dinesh Karthik hard hitted unbeaten 33 sealed the match for MI without needing Cracking shots of Pollard.
However Pollard did contributed to MI’s victory with his slower deliveries restricting T&T to just 153/7.
Earlier in the match Lewis struck with his bat hitting 46-ball 62. He sent Johnson and young bowler Rishi Dhawan for sixes and fours and targeting off-spinner Harbhajan Singh. Pollard skillfully caught Lewis on his own ball while rest of the task was done by Pragyan Ojha and Coulter-Nile.
