Are You Ready to be an Entrepreneur?
Though entrepreneurship isn’t precisely for everyone, if things are right it probably becomes the most satisfying career path ever. While most researchers talk and debate about the possibility of inheriting entrepreneurial skills, few people cut such conversation to prove the point that entrepreneurship is based on culture, family and society. The factual remark is that it is a mixture of both, a hint of inheritance and a pinch of luck for all those external and uncontrollable factors. But what does it take to be an entrepreneur? Inheritance and luck might not act in favor always but there are certain points that can prove your readiness as an entrepreneur. Take a quick look at these points to know if you are ready to be an entrepreneur, as compiled by Elena Bajic for Forbes.

5. Do you believe in yourself?
The immediate answer by anybody would be yes! But that needn’t be the fact. When such a question is asked to analyze the readiness of a person to be an entrepreneur, it indirectly also asks if a person willing to be an entrepreneur trusts in his own ideas, ability and if he has the confidence to manage and run a company.
If these questions are answered on a positive note, a person still doesn’t become an entrepreneur as it takes a lot of courage to be one.
4. Are you ready to risk it?
Sometimes when everything favors you, only by risking a little you get to enjoy the benefits and this risk is a mere 50:50 chance. If an entrepreneur is bold enough to march forward by taking up risk, luck and will, would eventually favor him. The ultimate truth is that no person can ever dream of being an entrepreneur if he does not possess the will power of taking up risks.
3. How creative are you?
Well, after stumbling through rough realities of trusting oneself and risking a little the journey marks only the beginning. There are thousands and thousands of business opportunities in the current scenario and many people have already tried their luck by addressing trivial issues. But what matters the most is- ‘creativity’. You needn’t always start from a scratch, sometimes an already existing business idea can bring in great revenues if the creative part of it is polished and taken to another level.
2. What is your “Bounce rate”?
Bounce rate is usually a ‘not so cool’ term for websites and web entrepreneurs but for being an entrepreneur, it is necessary that the bounce rate is high and quick. A person must be quick to react after falling and failing. Mistakes are common and human but correcting and bouncing back quickly is a characteristic that most entrepreneurs must possess.
1. Do you have the determination?
If all the above mentioned points are intact, the last thing that an entrepreneur needs is the determination. Entrepreneurship is a package of challenges and these hurdles must be smartly dealt and this is possible only if an individual has an utmost determination. The notion of thinking entrepreneurship as ‘cool’ and ‘fun’ remains only in thoughts while the actual fact is quite opposite from what it looks like in others’ eyes.
