Times launch SatvikShop.com as an ecommerce store for Ayurveda

Times Internet group launching another ecommerce site for Ayureda products. They have selling orginic food and personal care items. Times Group CEO Satyan Gajwani says to Mint the website will be called SatvikShop.com and the same products are going to be Indiatimes Shopping site as well. Gajwani said, this is the two tier structure that the company plans to have in ecommerce business.

Mr. Gajwani said, we spend around Rs 40 crore on Indiatimes shopping for this year and he expects to touch revenu of Rs 300 crore. Gajwani said “In ecommerce market we are not as big in revenues as Flipkart, but two things make us different. We are very capital efficient.

Mr Gajwani announced at Ad:Tech 2012 “The product is done, but content deals are taking time. We should build something so good that people would pay for it ultimately. Fortunately, there are global comparables that prove it works.”
