Zomato Goes International With Dubai Editon

Zomato.com, an online restaurant and nightlife guide based in Delhi, India, will launch a section dedicated to Dubai in the first week of September. The company is plan to add more cities in Middle East and South East Asia by the end of this year. Zomato has also think launch the india city based section. They all ready launched Lucknow and Indore sections.

Zomato is now 4 years old company and the website has more than 4 million users every month who use Zomato to discover the best places to eat around them.  Info Edge has invested over $6.5M in Zomato since 2010. Zomato has recently forayed into print as well with the Citibank Zomato Restaurant Guide 2012. Zomato is headquartered in New Delhi and currently employs 150 people. Zomato was founded by Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah. They are IIT Delhi graduates and ex-Bain employees, in July 2008 for Delhi NCR. Since then, Zomato has expanded its services to 12 cities in India including – Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow and Indore.

Zamato.com covers more than 35,000 restaurants the website contaning features menus, pictures, reviews and contact details for outlets. Users will be able to find the website based on some spical search function such as location, type of cuisine and dining options – either to dine in or take out.

The Dubai section is launched with more than 3,500 restaurants ranging from cafeterias to restaurants at 7 Star Hotels and like what Zomato does with Indian businesses, the company provides scanned menus, photos and coordinates for most of the restaurants listed on Zomato Dubai, along with other relevant information such as ratings, reviews and contact details.
